OUR DAILY BREAD

Acts 5:3
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?
The abilities of God’s divine Spirit in us are unlimited, unsearchable, unfathomable, and indefinable. Many have done their best to define it but as far as God cannot be defined, absolutely nothing can be defined about Him and His sovereignty, for we are only limited to what we know.
A couple saw how members are supporting the early church. They decided to offer their land. They sold it and kept part of the money and brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet in Acts 5:3-73 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?
Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God. When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened.
There is some knowledge we need to acquire here, how the Holy Spirit took over when Peter acknowledges his presence, in verse 4 he again said You have not lied just to human beings but to God, He made the couples know the holy spirit is God they are dealing with.
This morning, I want you to consider your ways with the Holy Spirit in you and ask yourself, is it the best for God’s glory? Elisha’s servant Gehazi THOUGHT he can outsmart him, he said to him “Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes”? 2 Kings 5:26
This morning, I may like you to consider this truth about the Holy Spirit’s ability in you, and faithfully renew your relationship with Him, for His abilities are for your greatness and greater works that will bring glory and honor to God, not failure.
