Jeremiah 7:23

But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’

John 1:1

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Bible clearly identifies the Word as God which means God and His Word are inseparable, thus submitting to the Word is submitting to God Himself.

Our opening scriptures give us knowledge about God’s plans concerning us. He said clearly, "If we obey and walk in the way He God, has commanded us, it will be well with us. In Joshua 1:7, God said to Joshua "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you.

Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do, and in verse 8, He also said; "Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

Though God was speaking to Joshua, yet He was also speaking to the entire nation of Israel because Joshua's obedience to God's voice will influence the nation to obey God as well.

Our theme verse again says, when my people obey my voice (which is the Word) and walk according to what is written, then it will be well with them. All you need to do is renew your mind and obey His Word.

Apostle Paul’s prayers in Ephesians 1:18 says, "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His Holy people." God is interested in your well-being, so, submit to His word in Jesus’ name and experience His goodness.
