DECLARATION

John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The Bible has stated explicitly that believers will encounter challenges, troubles, hatred, and bitterness from the world. Unfortunately, when we come in contact with such challenges, we begin to make a U-turn, whereas we have been told it's bound to happen. Jesus promises He will not leave us alone, Matthew 28:20.
Most of the time the circumstances and challenges we face in the world make us take a U-turn from the faith but that should not be the case. We were not promised a life without challenges, but in all, we have been given the grace that is sufficient to overcome every tribulation against us. Job, was a victim of many forms of suffering. He lost his children and wealth in a moment, he was struck with painful sores over his entire body. His wife said, “Are you still believing this God ? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9). But he refused to make that U-TURN.
In Acts 16:23-24 the bible says Paul and Silas were stripped, severely flogged, and thrown into prison. Their feet were fastened in stock, they were under serious confinement. Verse 25 says "about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them." This means they never allowed circumstances to change their trust in God rather in the midst of the storm they upheld their faith and praised God. In verse 26 "Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose".
This morning I want to encourage you to remain firm and shine in the word because that is the only way situations can change. It's a spiritual battle and it can only be fought through prayers meditation and worship.

Acts 16:23-24
Romans 8:31-39
