BIBLE VERSE - Romans 5:8
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Believers often give up too soon when faced with situations beyond their control. Some resort to complaining to those around them, while others find themselves in tears amid seemingly hopeless and discouraging circumstances.
This attitude among Christians may suggest that we do not fully comprehend the love of our Father, who has saved us and brought us this far through His beloved son Jesus. In Him, all things are possible, as stated in Matthew 12:26, "With man, this is not possible, but with God, all things are possible."
Take the prodigal son, for example. When he found himself in a situation he couldn't handle after squandering his given rights, he did not give up. In Luke 15:18, he said, "I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants."
His acknowledgment of the importance of going to his father and talking with him should be a priority in our Christian lives. We should desire to communicate with our Father in every endeavor instead of seeking comfort in the world. Jesus exemplifies this, emphasizing that the father demonstrated indescribable love to his son despite his flaws.
This morning, remember that He first loved you, and that love overcomes every problem and issue. His love is still active, so learn from the prodigal son in everything and make every effort to communicate with your beloved Father in heaven, trusting in His unfailing love that saves you (Psalm 31:16).
Meditation:
Psalm 25:6-7
Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for your unfailing love that endures forever. Thank you for the death of your son Jesus on the cross that makes me guiltless through redemption and the resurrection power that makes my Christian life powerful and meaningful. In Jesus' name, amen.
