Romans 10:9-10 NIV

[9] If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 3:23, says, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But glory be to God through Jesus Christ. The next verse 24, says all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Why...? because we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead by faith and we were saved.

You received salvation by faith, as a result of the good news of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood and you believe it. Though you were not there, yet we could see the reality of our spiritual and conscience become alive to the righteousness of God by faith.

This is the foundation we should keep in mind in our Christian journey to build on it. By hearing more and more of the word our faith grows, for faith comes by hearing, and perfection in Christ is attained by putting the faith into practice, Hebrews 10:14.

In Hebrews 11:8, By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Abraham’s obedience to the word and acting on it was evidence of what made him the father of righteousness, faith, and nations which we still remember him even today for his great success.

This morning, I encourage you to anchor yourself with the word, and bind it in every part of your life through meditation and declaration for that is the only way you can build on that foundational structure of faith. Romans 12:3, that will enable you to be rooted in Christ Jesus against every storm of life and success in your Christian life.
