OUR DAILY BREAD

1 Peter 5:6-7

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. [7] Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Everything has rules that govern it. God gave Moses, Joshua, and the nation of Israel principles or laws they should follow to succeed in their journey, but I believe the greatest principle that governs heaven and earth with a common reward is humbleness. In heaven, Lucifer was cast down because of pride and lack of humility, and on earth, Jesus was exalted because He was humble.

Philippians 2:8-9, says, “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient on to the cross! [9] Therefore God exalted him and gave Him the name that is above every name”. Jesus has all it takes to exalt Himself due to His achievements. Though Satan tried to set him up on that path of pride in the book of Matthew 4:6-10, but he resisted it. Today, many of God's children are under Satan's manipulation due to self-centeredness and personal ambitions.

Proverbs 29:23 says “A man's pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor”. When he says, humble ones self under God, it means being humble to leaders above you including the government in power, and your working place. church, your spouse and family heads for they are God's govern of presentative according to His word, Romans13:1-7

Today, all we need to succeed in life is His grace. James 4:6-7 says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. “[7] Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Let's humble ourselves so His grace shall abound on us to enable us to prevail in life.
