IT'S ABOUT YOU!!

DECLARATION

Genesis 33:8-9

[8] Esau said, “What do you mean by all these animals I have met?” And Jacob said, “They are a gift so I may find favor in the eyes of my lord.” [9] But Esau said, “I have enough, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.”

Most of the time the tendency of blaming people for our failures, mistakes, shortcoming, deviation, and challenges is higher than accepting it as our fault. we are always fast to point our fingers at people forgetting as we point it, our three fingers are directing to us the blamer, one to your opponents and the thumb is facing heaven for witness against you.

The Bible said in Genesis 3:11-13, God approached Adam and asked who told you, you are naked have you eaten from the tree I forbid you not to, Adam said the woman you give me, God intended asked the woman, she replies” the serpent deceived me and I ate” also in 1 Samuel 13:11-15. Samuel approaches King Saul what have you done, He blames Samuel’s lateness for causing the people to scatter, and the pressure mounted by their enemies the philistine compelled him to burn the offering which was against God’s will.

From our above scriptures; one could realize that none of these people accepted their mistakes, rather blamed people without repentance which led to their failures. David after being Convicted by the prophet Nathan, accepted his wrongdoing, and he prayed for mercy. In 1 Chronicle 29:28, the bible says he reigns as a king till his old age enjoying the good life, with wealth and honor until his son succeeded him before he died, why? he accepted his mistake and was ready to be corrected.

Esau was full of bitterness and pain against his brother for deceiving their father to take his blessing which led him to be a slave to his junior brother Jacob. Our opening scriptures say Esau told Jacob, “I have enough, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.” I believe He accepted his mistake instead of blaming his brother, because is about him and focused on how he could rectify it and enjoy the blessing, so when Jacob came, he had more than enough and he never serves Jacob as declared rather his generations serve Israel.

This morning learned how to point Your figures at yourself and be ready to accept mistakes and corrections, desist from blaming all the time and depend on the holy spirit for help for He knows the best to make it in life.
