OUR DAILY BREAD

John 17:3 (KJV)
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
An effective relationship exists when we know each other and communicate well. Many times, a person in a relationship may be quiet, calm, and inactive because he or she doesn’t know the other person he is dealing with. This also reflects among business partners, friends, and even families.
Our relationship with God also depends mostly on how, and what we know Him to be. I believe, Adam knew God as his creator based on the things God put in place to make him live comfortably. Abraham knew and believed God by His word and it was credited to Him as righteousness.
Our opening verse says, He gives us eternal life, that we may know Him, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He sent. This means, we, have received an unending life to know God and relate to Him.
Jeremiah 31:34 says "No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." Also, John 1:1 says 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.' verse 14 and the Word became flesh and dwell. among us.
Thus, this morning I encourage you to know Him through His word and works in your life. Study, meditate, fellowship with the Holy Spirit and you will know him more, for He said 'And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13.
Meditation:
Deuteronomy 4:29-31
Prayer:
Thank you, God, for helping me to know you more, Amen.
