Philippians 3:13

13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! This scripture is a very clear foundation of our new life as Christians to build on it, for our spiritual and physical growth.

But lack of understanding of the new creation life we have freely makes us wallow in our past, including memories of people around us past, thus we never experience any differences in life to prove in us. Behold we are new creations, born again in God’s kingdom.

Despite of forgiveness, we have received we find it difficult to forgive people and even forgive ourselves because we uphold our past and characters. In Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

This means you are declared "not guilty free from your past. There are no, charges against you, and you have become a new creation. That you need to renew your mind with the help of the holy spirit to grab this truth. Romans 12:1-2 that why you need to guide your heart and fellowship with the Holy Spirit to help you to sustain yourself in the word,

Apostle Paul said in our opening scriptures But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, because his past is guilty and painful memories that will hinder his future success. May God help you to live your past behind you and focus on your life.
