DECLARATION

John 13:34 - 35
'A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love one to another.'
Oh..! What is going on in my heart? I claim I am a child of God who is loved by God, yet I am filled with bitterness, anger, and hatred. I refuse to accept corrections even when I am told what I did wrong. Did Moses know he had anger issues? Was he told or warned about it? The Bible is the word of God and contains solutions to all problems, but the choice is yours.
1 John 4:20 says "Whoever claims to love God, yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." Therefore our love for God depends on how we relate to people and ourselves.
1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, and always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."
Irrespective of how Jesus descended heavily on the Pharisees during the time of His ministry, yet on His way to the cross He wept on their behalf, to demonstrate his love and passion for them. This morning I may like you to cross-check your hearts in reference to the scriptures in 1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8 and see the state of your love for those around you. May Christ help us all for He is the love we must emulate. Amen.
Our theme scripture gives us a command from God through Jesus to love one another as He loves us, may you abide by it, and experience his ever-loving kindness.
(Be a soul winner for Christ)
