Mark 5:27-28

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. [28] For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

King David in Psalm 141:3” Set a guard over his mouth, and Lord, keep watch over the door of my lips”, this is a very profound statement by everyone who believes there is power in the tongue to think carefully before he or she altered a word.

I could say that David paid a high price for his inability to listen more and talk less when Nathan approaches him with the crime, he committed against Uriah 2 Samuel 11. He never knew he was the one prophet Nathan was talking about, and therefore, his own verdict fell on him. Though God forgave his sins, yet he was a victim of his declaration.

2 Samuel 12:6 He must pay for that lamb, four times over because he did such a thing and had no pity.

Thus, David was right to say, I set a guard on my mouth and may God keep over the door of his lips, But in this our dispensation, I don’t believe it God’s assignment, rather you have to avail yourself to the instruction of the word and abide in it.

James 3:6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell in verse 10 says, Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

Thus, this morning I encourage you to guide your tongue, because of its nature, God prisoned it with strong 32 teeth (as a protective wall) and put a gate to your mouth.

The bleeding woman’s positive declaration brought her healing, you also, whatever you are going through speak the right word and you will get the right result.

Thank you Holy Spirit for helping to speak the right word that gives positive returns in Jesus’s name, Amen.
