Galatians 5:16

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Never allow yourself to be influenced by external forces or your carnal mind. John 6:63 says, It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The Words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. Thus, when we respond to the word rightly we respond to life, health, and a sound mind under the influence of God’s power.

When the word is not studied, meditated, and well applied in your life to become part of us, Satan takes advantage and begins to influence us with devilish words which lead us into pain, bitterness, anger, envy strife, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, and hatred. And these are the fruits of the flesh, which Christ had crucified and set us free from it. Galatians 5:19-26.

But as the Word becomes part of us, we are able to submit to the Word of God and resist the devil in every area of our life, James 4:7 and we begin to bear the fruits of our new life namely love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control Galatians 5:22-23.

Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. and Romans 8:5-6,5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be [a]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Hallelujah.

This morning, may God help us endeavor for things of the spirit because that is who we are, and live a life that pleases God and bring glory and honor to him. May we live a lifestyle that will reflect Christ and His light to attract a multitude of souls wallowing in the darkness, to the marvelous light of Christ. Amen.
