OUR DAILY BREAD
Bible Verse – Exodus 14:12-13
Did we not say to you in Egypt: “Leave us alone; serve the Egyptians? It would have been better to serve us Egyptians than to die in the desert! (13) Moses answered the people: “Do not be afraid. Hold on and you will see the salvation that the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today, you will never see them again.
This Bible story teaches us a valuable lesson. When faced with difficult situations beyond our control, it is essential to protect our words and thoughts. How we respond to challenges can determine our results. In today's world, our statements have power and influence us positively or negatively.
Taking another biblical example, King David, after hearing a parable from the prophet Nathan, expressed his anger and pronounced judgment without restraint. This illustrates the possible consequences of unbridled speech.
As believers, we are encouraged to remember our words and recognize their power. James 3:6 reminds us that the tongue can be a source of good and evil. It is therefore crucial to discipline our speech and bring it into conformity with the Word of God.
MEDITATION:
"I declare that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I rise to higher levels, empowered by his power, and I discipline my tongue to speak according to the Word of God. I profess health, the strength, favor, and grace of God upon my life. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
PRAYER:
Let us pray for the help of the Holy Spirit to control our tongues and grow in self-discipline, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
