2 Corinthians 10:5

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Knowing who you are in Christ, the Lord in whom, you believe is very important and crucial in our Christian life. As far as one has become born again, there is a battle to be fought but, it is not as the world, but as an overcomer, based on Jesus' finished work on the cross and the spoken word.

In the Corinthians church heresy teaching, negative characters, and attitudes invaded the church and deceived the people. Apostle Paul, declared in 2 Corinthians 10: 4, For the weapons of our warfare against this, are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down strongholds, [5] casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Apostle Paul realized the battle is spiritual instead, he first encourage the church to be more prayerful as Daniel prayed and heaven host his battle. Secondly, Roman 12:2, give a key to overcoming or being in control over every situation. Its says! do not conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

How will you renew your mind? By the word of God and putting it into. practice, walking in the obedience of the Lord, thus, in verse six of 2 Corinthians 10, I paraphrase, And we can punish every act of disobedience when our obedience is complete. May God, help us to put the Word into practice, and may we place value on it, for it is the weapon of our warfare in Christ Jesus to overcome.
