Nehemiah 1:4

When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.

Passion is a very powerful feeling. A strong feeling of enthusiasm to do something. Passion could be positive or negative but I think believers should always soar in a passion that yields positive results and benefits the kingdom of God not evil.

When Nehemiah heard about the trouble, distress, and disgrace of the remnant who survived in exile back home, and how the walls of Jerusalem are broken down and its gates are burned with fire, he was filled with passion FOR GOD. He sat down and wept, and fasted for days with intensive prayers for God’s mercy and grace to Go and build the temple. Nehemiah 1:1-11

Our passion in God’s kingdom should give us the strength to endure for our brethren and kingdom’s benefit, In Gethsemane, the passion of Jesus Christ caused him to pray and His sweat became like blood for the father's will to stand, and he was able to endure the cross for our sake. Through pain and agony, declare the finished work that brought us salvation and still saving.

His passion enables him to see the vision, and He walked in that purpose until fulfillment, because that passion was in God’s will. This morning, where is your passion and how is it driving you to benefit God’s kingdom? In spite of all David’s mockery, insult, scorn, and disgrace unleashed on him, he declares the zeal of the Lord has eaten him. Psalm 69

And it was this passion that consumed Jesus to drive the traders out of the temple and, His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” This morning where is your zeal and passion for what you are doing for Christ, may the holy Spirit help you in this grace. John2:16-17
