THE UNITY GOD DESIRES

John 17:22-23.

I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Mattie Stepanek said, “Unity is the strength when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things are achieved.” This truth relates to every group of people, families, students, workers, and the body of Christ, who wants to achieve greatness in their vision. This was the reason why the devil did all he could to break the unity of fellowship between God and humanity in the Garden of Eden.

The bible says for all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory because the enemy knew that our oneness with God will reflect His glory on humanity. Jesus said in our opening verse “the glory you give me I have given then to unite them, and I will be in them to bring them in complete unity”. This is Christ the head of the church's expectation of His body in which you are a genuine member built to foster unity.

This morning Jesus is appealing to you to seek to foster unity amongst friends in the faith, in your marriage, family, friends, and your loved ones for the world to know that the love of God is working in you. We should not be self-centered but rather be selfless to carry each other in all endeavors.

Declaration:

I declare I pursue unity amongst the brethren in Jesus' name, may God help me to love everyone irrespective of the challenges. I declare the Spirit of humility, love, and endurance is manifesting in my life in Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You for the grace to foster unity in Jesus' Mighty name. Amen.
